CHOOSING YOUR DIVE SCHOOL

Courses
Where Are We
Diving Schedule

How do you choose the dive school that is right for you? At first glance it makes sense to choose the cheapest; after all they all teach you to dive, right, and mostly following the same system, so why not save some money? But before you sign up, have a second look and make sure you know what you are getting for your hard earned savings.

All Inclusive vs Pay as You Go

Does the quoted price include everything or will hidden charges crop up as you go along? Common additional charges include equipment rental, boat fees, course materials, log books and certification charges. Many dive schools charge for all these over and above the “cost” of their course. At SEA Explorers there are no hidden costs. Our course price is all you will have to pay.

Where Do I Get To Dive?

While you may feel that to dive anywhere in the Maldives would be fantastic, it is a sad fact that the reefs immediately surrounding Male’ are very damaged and the water is polluted both by rubbish and the overflow of waste. That is why SEA Explorers make all our dives, including confined water training dives, away from Male’. While this adds to the cost of running a course, we believe it is vital for your health and comfort. Our open water training dives are all conducted from a dhoni on some of the best dive sites in the Maldives. The P.A.D.I. Open Water Diver course includes four open water dives and we make an effort to ensure each of your dives will be conducted at a different dive site, giving you variety, interest and more experience in a range of conditions.
You are learning to dive to discover the spectacular underwater world of the Maldives and with SEA Explorers this starts with your very first training dive. You will be diving on the same sites that people travel from all over the world to experience.

Safety

At SEA Explorers your safety is of vital importance. All divers are issued with dive computers, free of charge, on all open water dives. Safety equipment is standard with whistles and surface marker buoys in all BCD’s and emergency oxygen and first aid equipment always available. All our dive instructors are also qualified first aid instructors and all dive staff have completed first aid and emergency training.

Individual Attention and Scheduling

We all lead busy lives and finding time to attend classes can be difficult. At SEA Explorers we arrange our schedule around you. We dive twice a day, seven days a week, so you can attend at a time that suits you. Classes can be scheduled daily; allowing you to complete the course in as little as a week, or run over a period of months allowing you to come whenever you have a day off. There is no minimum number of students required for a course and classes are always kept small ensuring individual attention and flexibility.

Group Discounts

As we recognize that teaching a group of students does reduce our costs, we pass these savings on to you by offering a substantial group discount for 3 or more people attending sessions together.

Value for Money

Price is definitely important when choosing a dive school, but even more important is value for money. At SEA Explorers we have made an effort to keep our price as low as possible while still offering you the diving experience you desire.

Come and visit us at SEA Explorers and let our friendly, professional staff introduce you to the best diving the Maldives has to offer.
